Well.... It is one down.. One to go! I like the pattern. It is fast and easy. However.. I think a size one needles would have been better on the foot portion. The jury is still out on this toe.. It is different for me so I am glad I tried it... And yet I am not sure I like it.
I am feeling a little happy with my mid week post of 1/2 of a Finished Object. I am always happier the days I have knitted. Go figure.

Weekend Knitting.
Good Evening! I hope to finish both of these tonight or this week.. But I thought I'd post an update before the whirly busy work week starts. Why is it so hard to let go of the weekends?
Anyway the little pink cloth is a freebie cloth pattern from www.knitsbyrachel.com.
I love it! And the pattern will show up a lot better after blocking. Just in case you can't make it out it is a
Little lace in the middle with x and o's around the edge. It is just very pretty.
The sock is the embossed leaves sock. I have finished the gusset decrease and I am smooth sailing
Towards the toe. Easy Peasy! I really like the yarn. It is very very soft.

Spring Knitting.
I have had so little knitting time these days that I am torn between what I get to knit in my spare time. I want to make some little things that give that FO feeling of completeness…and yet I want to work on my Norway sweater or my Latvian style mittens...Decisions Decisions.
I had two hours to knit this week and I knit two charts of the Embossed Leaves socks while watching American Idol. This pattern is wonderful! It gives of a nice lace leaf with very little effort. LOVE it. I think it is even easier than the Monkey Sock Pattern. And that twisted rib cuff... I never get tired of the crispness of this ribbing.
Here is my progress.
Sunday Sock Knitting.
Just fiddling around with socks today. I finished one simple sock and started the mate. I hope I lined up the stripes well enough to co-ordinate with the other. This is that Red Heart Sock yarn that I got at Michael's for such a good price. The label says it contains Aloe. I haven't really noticed any difference in this yarn. I am actually rather impressed with the yarn. Of course the true test will be in the wearing of it. It is not overly soft but it isn't scratch. Kind of a fun sock. It is nice to have a pair of mindless socks on the needles where one can just knit in the rounds when the brain cells are a little fried! Which lately my cells seemed to be fried…. And when they are not fried.. They seem to be scattered or out of order.
I am also almost finished with the cuff of the Embossed leaves sock. I really like it.
I have been in a sock sort of mood lately.

Thursday Night I cast on for Embossed Leaves Socks from the book Favorite Socks, 25 Timeless designs, from Interweave Press.
I am finally getting to use my Lorna’s Laces Shepard Sport yarn that I got on my visit to Virginia last year. The Poppy colorway is just so lovely. I think they are going to be gorgeous. I have the initial ribbing done. The twisted rib cuff really pops with this yarn. It is prettier than I thought. Pictures soon!
I also finished my Red Heart basic Sock and am on the second one. I will post some pictures soon. I hope to read and knit this weekend.
I think I will start some cute cloths for spring and the spring holidays that are coming up. It is fun to have some fun spring patterns and colors to work with.

Odd Fellow was just hanging out. The Grandson never really seemed to bond with him. Since there is nothing worse than a tossed aside hand knit toy.... drum roll............... Odd Fellow is now a part time Pirate.... part time Super Hero.
