Hi blog!
I have not forgotten my blog of the things that I love to do. My own place to write, talk, post and do whatever I want!
Before I get too far into posting, I would like pay tribute to Army Pvt. Michael R. Dinterman 18, of Littlestown, Pa. He is the nephew of a dear friend of mine that was very recently killed in Afghanistan.
I would be honored if you all would read the following article to pay tribute to this fine Young American Hero.

Please also take a moment this day to pray and remember those lost September 11th, 2001, and all those lost since fighting for freedom.
Please don't forget the many fallen Heroes.
On the forgotten blog front:
I don't have any knitting pictures to post. I have been settling in after my trip to Washington DC. It was a good trip and I will try to put pictures of my trip here and there interspersed with my knitting and book talk.
I am turning the heel on my second green sock. (here) I have been knitting for 55 minutes each day at lunch and that is all. I plan to do more knitting this weekend.
I pulled out Norway (here) and found a moth had eaten a thread on it. I have to do some repair on it. I am thinking that duplicate stitching over it will hold? I am not sure. I broken heartedly put it back into the drawer. (after examining for moths). I was also in shock at how huge this sweater is. I think OH gosh..what was I thinking? One size fits all?? Yikes. But I have learned about frogging and this sweater will not be swimming in the frog pond.
On the family front:
Just for Thursday eye candy, here is a picture of my daughter Jess in Oklahoma with her new friend Twissel.
On the Book Club Front:
My Favorite Book Club "The Page Turners" went to Washington DC for our book convention. We got to tour see our Nation's Capital, The Library of Congress, Thomas Jefferson Library, The Washington Monument, The WWII Memorial, and the front of the White House. It was a great trip with six of the members of the club coming from New York, Maryland, Florida, California, Virginia, and Missouri. We had a fantastic time and a created a lot of Memories.
Here is a picture in of the group:
